Here's a fan art themed mural painting of The Little Mermaid. I, single-handedly, conceptualised and painted this piece for a client's kids room. It gives a "under the sea" ambience to the room.
For those who are interested in or to have a mural painting, kindly get in touch with me via Mural Mural On The Wall. Wishing all a Prosperous Lunar New Year!
马年到!祝大家事事马到成功,健康一马当先,财源马不停蹄,好运万马奔腾,生活一马平川,爱情走马观花,业绩快马加鞭,仕途策马扬鞭,成就驷马难追!马年快乐哦! It's been a long time since I last do Chinese calligraphy. A recent new commercial assignment allows me to practice my strokes again. The Chinese ink simply smell so good!
I am very honoured to be invited to contribute an artwork for “100 Friends, 100 Artists, 100 Songs” exhibition, in support to raise funds for the TRANSMISSION : PROJECT.
The musical brainchild of art-management.com’s Claude Verly and Jackson Tan from Phunk Studio, six of the talented artists will take on apprenticeship roles with PHUNK for a year under their non-profit TRANSMISSION: PROJECT, an annual mentorship programme providing artists with an immersive multi-disciplinary studio experience. Areas such as Design – Artwork – Exhibitions – and Catalogue production will all be covered. The artwork that I have contributed is inspired by the song 这不行,那不行 from local Chinese rap/rock band Chou Pi Jiang. The exhibition will run from 10 October 2013 to 6 January 2014 at ‘The Gallery’ tcc – The Connoisseur Concerto at 51 Circular Road, Boat Quay. Please do pop by to check out the exhibit. If you think hibernating from updating my personal website for a year is long, then not attending this ceremony for more than 5 years must be dead long.
COMPASS Awards Presentation is an annual ceremony giving recognition to local composers and authors whom have performed well for the year. But most importantly it's an annual event that let fellow musicians get together. Well, reason for my absent last few years, I have to confess that it's mainly due to my disappointment with the state of music business. It's like a slow death. But since I found back my joy and love for arts and crafts lately, it trigger me to rethink! Mouse Records, an indie music label that I founded in 1992, in many ways has brought me to where I am today. Music is still in my blood, never drained! I have plans and definitely looking forward to catch up with my fellow musician buddies this Sunday. Last Saturday, I traveled to Sunway Lagoon, Malaysia, to meet up with the LMF guys. How time flies? It's been a year since we last met at The Wild Lazy Tour - Grand Finale, in Hong Kong.
This time, LMF performed along side with members of Beyond, Taiwan's MC Hotdog, A-Yue, Jam Hsiao, A-Lin and Malaysia's ManHanD for the Tiger Beer's Asian Music Festival. My recent business trip to Shanghai.
